BIOGRAPHY:
Tété was born on July 25, 1975 in Dakar in Senegal.
Whereas it is only 2 years old, his/her parents divorce, it
moves in with his/her mother in France. It is thanks to the
influence of this one that the young man launches out in the
universe of the music. At 15 years, it offers its first guitar
to him, young Senegalese composes and written for his group
founded at the time as of the his academic years. He quickly
decides to launch out in the trade, and leaves on the roads
France. He plays in small rooms like in bars. He acquires thanks
to this adventure a great scenic experiment.
In 1999, it is pointed out with his friends Alberto Malo and
Evy by Sony/Epic which signs with them for an album. Tété
spends several months to write "the Air of Nothing"
which leaves in January 2001. It is a success, one notices the
original at the same time funk, pop style quickly, blues and
soul of the author whom the press compares to Ben Harper or
Keziah Jones.
But the prince of
this meltin musical pot remains very discrete, and the fans
await each appearance impatiently. From the exit of this first
album, Tété is in permanent round.
In 2003, a new small jewel leaves in the vats, "By Monts
and Small valleys" achieves the unanimity, this concentrate
of softness and of sensuality touches whole France.
"A the Favour of the Autumn" illustrates this new
opus perfectly, and becomes one of the songs most diffused on
the French waves.
The songwritter offers to the public the pleasure of a new round
in France like in Canada. After a short pause, Tété
enters again in studio in 2006 to record its third album with
the strange title: "The Sacring Of Lemmings And Other Tales
Of The Edge". More led musicalement and to the texts always
so required, this new opus is right now to classify in good
place in your discotheque.
