BIOGRAPHY:
Alicia Keys was born in New York on January 25, 1981. As of its younger childhood it bathed in the culture soul. It starts while singing with the church and by studying six years the traditional piano to eight years. It enters then in Manhattan' S Professional Performance School Arts, where it acquires an impressive vocal technique. At fifteen years, it met a manager named Jeff Robinson, an abrupt man and dodu which carries sunglasses of luxury which would make Biggie pretty. The man is intelligent. He does not want that its protected makes a career as fast as a fire of straw.

After singhaving sung much on the local scene, Alicia is made approach in 1998, by Arista, which makes him sign a contract. It is put then at work, writing and composing of the songs, who for some went back to his adolescence. Cleave Davis, the producer who works with it assembles then his own label J Records and Alicia follows it. In 2001, its first album leaves, under the name of Songs in A Mirror.
The first week, 236 000 copies are sold, which is large enough for a new album. But the second week, stops it with ear and the televisual exposure being so intense that the shops of discs required 450 000 other specimens... The beginning of glory...
Two years later, after having charmed all the small world of the R&B and the soul, Alicia Keys returns with a second opus entitled "The Diary of Alicia Keys", left with the autumn 2003 and profits from criticisms excellent. In 2004 Alicia wrote a book ( "Tears For Water: Songbook of Poems and Lyrics") containing, as its title indicates, words and poems she wrote. It was not until 2007 to have the pleasure to hear again the queen of soul with his new opus "As I Am" as she describes the encounter between Aretha Flanklin and Janis Joplin, a program and a true happiness for ears.
